In addition, the shed is also home to $130,000 of battery packs coupled with solar panels and a wind generator. This means Alkina Lodge is mainly off grid. When all else fails, the back up generator will kick in!

Guests can have the flexibility of booking a lodge entirely to themselves or booking all three lodges and having 24 guests stay with them.

As well, Alkina Lodge is a A Hall of Fame winner in Victoria for winning the Luxury Accommodation Category for 3 years in a row.

There is a permit in place for a 75 room hotel development which can be developed in two stages starting with a 30 guest room plus main hotel including facilities such as food and beverage, meeting rooms and recreational areas. The building will comprise of two and three levels which can be constructed along the ridge line at the northern section of the property. The second stage will complete the development with the addition of the 45 guest rooms.

Architect plans for 10 villas, strategically located in a separate elevated area are in final stages to proceed to the planning process, this may well be another option for you to pursue.
